Critical Mass!
Neither of these were worth a post on their own, but together they're... er.. eclectic? ;-)
Try this great flash geography quiz. It shows you a nice map of the world, then asks you to click on where you think [X] is. [X] varies between cities and famous historical sites. It gets harder as you go - oh, and you get scored on both accuracy and timing.
Also, our household is now robotically enhanced. Following on from
_alanna's diagnosis of being allergic to housedust, a few days ago she turned to me (we have side-by-side computers) and said 'have you seen this?' while pointing to a Roomba. Of course, I did know about them -
motodraconis bought one a year or so ago - but I'd not actually bought one yet. I didn't take much convincing - any excuse to buy tech, right?
Our Roomba 560 (black) duly arrived, and we now appear to have a scutter. It doesn't have a huge dust-bay, and the brushes need frequent cleaning - but, when it comes down to it, I'd much rather maintain a vacuuming robot than actually do the vacuuming myself. Also, it makes cute triumphant fanfares when it completes tasks. Think of a macbook on wheels...
